The Bible says:
Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” ...
Wow, I read this verse often and every time I feel unworthy of the praise. I don't look at myself in this way. I humbly am their mother and I am so whole heartedly and honored to be so. And then I think about that thought...perhaps that is why. As mothers we don't think about it, we just love and nurture as though we have been doing it our entire life. I feel so grateful to God and my sweet husband for blessing me with 2 of the sweetest little girls I could have ever imagined. Everyday is a slumber party. They are my bestest friends. We have an unbreakable bond one can only hope will be able to withstand the teen years. If I can teach my girls anything it will be to grow up with confidents and courage. ALWAYS be humble and kind. I swear I didn't steal that line from Cinderella :D Knowing my girls are blessed with great beauty I hope they don't focus on just that alone but realize there is way more to them then how they look. How they act and treat others is where their true beauty will shine. Always stay classy. Value yourself as the prize. One can only hope and pray they will listen and understand all that us Mothers have to offer. One thing for sure is that we will never stop loving, we'll never stop teaching and we will definitely never stop trying for our children.
Happy Mothers Day to all of you beautiful, selfless, fearless Mothers out there!
